Paul Cannings
Managing Partner, Paul Alexander Company
Mr. Cannings has served as Global Head of Investment Strategy for over a decade, heavily vested in the intersection of technology, economic development, healthcare, and real estate internationally. As the Managing Partner of Paul Alexander Company, he is responsible for managing the firm’s investment funds, capital markets and oversight of real estate development and advisory activities. Cannings’ leadership has expanded the firm’s global footprint harnessing an international portfolio to include Smart City-Urban innovations, an international medical center for health sciences and alternative energy assets establishing a global imprint.

Mr. Cannings currently serves on the Governing Board for Houston Exponential, University of Arkansas Inclusive Innovation Initiative Board of Directors, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, Board Fellow for Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business, Theatre District Houston Board of Directors, Midtown Arts & Theatre Center of Houston (MATCH) Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the City of Houston Millennial Advisory Board. He is also a member of Class XXX of Leadership Houston and Class XXXII of Project Blueprint, leading to touching all aspects of enriching the community.
